Hijama & cupping therapy

Hijama (wet cupping) and dry cupping come from the Unani tradition. They are done in a clean clinic room, after a doctor checks that the treatment suits you.

What happens at your visit

  1. A doctor checks your health and medicines first.

  2. The skin is cleaned and cups are placed on the chosen points.

  3. For hijama, small cuts are made so a little blood is drawn into the cups.

  4. The area is cleaned and dressed, and you get care advice for the next day.

Important: Tell the doctor if you are pregnant, take blood-thinning medicine, or have diabetes or a bleeding disorder.
